The successful applicant’s scope of work will include:
- Contributing to building and designing seasonal ranges
- Creating mood boards and colour palettes
- Designing and developing prints and customized fabrics
- Creating specs for knitwear, accessories and fabrics
- Assisting design and sampling departments
- Assisting in tracking of sampling fabrics and developments
- Sample cutting
- Garment drawing in Illustrator
- Assisting on shows & photo shoots
The successful candidate will be forward thinking and creative with an eye for colour, detail & quality. Excellent time management skills are essential along with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and be both flexible and reliable.
Self-motivation and being able to show initiative will take you far.
What you will need:
- Tertiary fashion design qualification or 1-2 years equivalent industry experience
- Strong Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel skills
- Excellent drawing and communication skills
- Garment construction knowledge
- Current design portfolio or examples of design work
